ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Wednesday approved two important bills namely the Law of Martyrdom (Amendment) Bill 2023 and the Anti-Narcotics (Amendment) Bill 2023 after the approval of the Parliament.
The President signed the Law of Evidence (Amendment) Bill, 2023, which states: "The statement of objects and reasons of the Bill states that "foreign law, or science, or art, or such opinion on any point . the identification of handwriting or fingerprints, or the opinion of persons specially skilled in such foreign law, science or art as to the authenticity and integrity of electronic documents created by or through an information system; Am, or in questions. There are relevant facts such as handwriting or fingerprint identification or the functioning, specifications, programming and operation of information systems, however bomb disposal would be covered by the proposed amendment.
President Alvi also signed the Anti-Narcotics (Amendment) Bill, 2023, which aims to end the use of drugs in educational institutions.
The bill makes it mandatory for all educational institutions to constitute a 'Disciplinary Committee' with representatives from law enforcement agencies as its members are mandated to conduct regular inspections of university premises and disciplinary action.
