Pakistan announces launch satellite PakSAT-MM1R multi-mission communication 

The announcement was made by the National Space Agency, Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SPARCO). According to the spokesperson, PakSAT-MM1R will be launched from China's Xichang Satellite Launch Center on May 30.

The spokesman added that the multi-mission communication satellite PakSAT-MM1R is a joint effort between Sparco and the Chinese aerospace industry, and is designed to meet the country's communication and connectivity needs.

According to Sparco, this satellite will be a major catalyst for Pakistan's digital transformation and improving socio-economic conditions. The event will be telecast live from the agency's offices in Islamabad and Karachi.

Pakistan's lunar satellite iCube Qamar has sent its first image from orbit after completing three orbits of the moon.

According to Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SPARCO), iCube Qamar entered lunar orbit on May 8.

The satellite is equipped with two cameras that are taking pictures of the moon from a distance of 200 km.
According to the Institute of Space Technology, the ICUBE-Q satellite has been designed and developed by IST in collaboration with China's Shanghai University SJTU and Pakistan's National Space Agency Sparco.
